【摘要】:Thistestmethodcoversthepreparationanduseofaflatstress-freetestspecimenforthepurposeofcheckingthesystematicerrorcausedbyinstrumentmisalignmentorsamplepositioninginX-raydiffractionresidualstressmeasurement,orboth.ThistestmethodisapplicabletoapparatusintendedforX-raydiffractionmacroscopicresidualstressmeasurementinpolycrystallinesamplesemployingmeasurementofadiffractionpeakpositioninthehigh-backreflectionregion,andinwhichthe,2,androtationaxescanbemadetocoincide(see).Thistestmethoddescribestheuseofironpowderwhichhasbeeninvestigatedinround-robinstudiesforthepurposeofverifyingthealignmentofinstrumentationintendedforstressmeasurementinferriticormartensiticsteels.Toverifyinstrumentalignmentpriortostressmeasurementinotheralloys,basemetalpowderhavingthesamecrystalstructureasthealloyshouldbepreparedinsimilarfashionandusedtocheckinstrumentalignmentattheappropriatediffractionangle.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
