【摘要】:Thisspecificationisintendedtobeameansofcallingoutfinishedplasticpartsreadyforindustrialorconsumeruse.Thisspecificationcoversfinishedpartsandshapesfromwhichpartsaremachined,madefromasemi-crystallinepolyimide(PI).ThisspecificationisintendedtoreplaceMIL-R-46198andProvisionalStandardSpecificationPS93.Note1-ThereisnosimilarorequivalentISOstandard.Thisspecificationcoverspartsmadefromsemi-crystallinepolyimide,whichisathermosettingmaterialthatshowsnosofteningormeltingbyDMA(D4065)atorbelow260?C[500?F].SincePIisathermosetresin,noprovisionsareincludedforrecycledproducts.TheclassificationsystemoutlinedinthisspecificationisintendedtobeidenticaltothatusedbyDepartmentofDefenseforover20years.Nochangesareintendedatthistime.ThevaluesarestatedinSIunitsandareregardedasthestandardinallpropertyanddimensionaltables.Forreferencepurposes,inch-poundunitsarestatedinbrackets.Application-Partsinthisspecificationaregenerallyusedforapplicationsrequiringthefollowingcombinationofproperties:lowcoefficientoffriction,andlowthermalexpansioncoupledwithheatresistanceforcontinuousoperationattemperaturesupto260?C[500?F]andforshort-termexcursionsupwardto482?C[900?F].Thefollowingprecautionarycaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodportion,Section12,ofthisspecification:Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
