【摘要】:Thispracticeprovidesastandardizedterminologyandareviewofsomebasicconceptsforelementarysamplingandtesting.Theseoperationsareimportantfor:(1)localorintralaboratorytestingthatgenerallyappliestointernalqualitycontrol,processcapabilityorperformanceevaluation,aswellasdevelopmentprograms,and(2)globalorinterlaboratorytestingthatappliestoproducer-userandothertestingprogramsthathaveindustry-wideorworldwidescope.Itisrecognizedthatcertaintestmethodsmayrequiremoredetailedandspecializedsamplingoperationsthanthegenericonesasdescribedherein.Thesespecializedsamplingproceduresshouldutilize,asfaraspossible,thebasicconceptsasgiveninthispractice.ThispracticeprovidesalistoftermsandconceptsthatmaybeusedinnumeroustestmethodsusedbyCommitteesD11andD24.Itimprovescommunicationamongthosethatconducttestingintherubberandcarbonblackmanufacturingindustriesandthosethatusesuchtestingandtestresultsfortechnicaldecisions.1.1Thispracticecoversastandardizedterminologyandsomebasicconceptsfortestingandsamplingacrossthebroadrangeofchemicalandphysicaltestingoperationscharacteristicoftherubberandcarbonblackmanufacturingindustries.1.2Inadditiontothebasicconceptsandterminology,amodelforthetestmeasurementprocessisgivenin.Thisservesasamathematicalfoundationforthetermsandothertestingconcepts.Itmayalsofinduseforfurtherdevelopmentofthispracticetoaddressmorecomplexsamplingoperations.1.3Thisgeneraltopicrequiresacomprehensivetreatmentwithasequentialorhierarchicaldevelopmentoftermswithsubstantialbackgrounddiscussion.Anumberofancillarytermsarealsogiventhatmakeforamoreself-containeddocument.ThiscannotbeaccommodatedinTerminologyD1566.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
