【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoverscold-formedweldedandseamlesshigh-strength,low-alloyround,square,rectangular,orspecialshapedstructuraltubingforwelded,riveted,orboltedconstructionofbridgesandbuildingsandforgeneralstructuralpurposeswherehighstrengthandenhancedatmosphericcorrosionresistancearerequired(Note1).Theatmosphericcorrosionresistanceofthissteelinmostenvironmentsissubstantiallybetterthancarbonsteelwithorwithoutcopperaddition(Note2).Whenproperlyexposedtotheatmosphere,thissteelcanbeusedbare(unpainted)formanyapplications.Whenthissteelisusedinweldedconstruction,theweldingprocedureshallbesuitableforthesteelandtheintendedservice.1.2Thistubingisproducedinweldedsizeswithamaximumperipheryof64in.[1626mm]andamaximumwallof0.625in.[15.9mm],andinseamlesswithamaximumperipheryof32in.[813mm]andamaximumwallof0.500in.[12.7mm].Tubinghavingotherdimensionsmaybefurnishedprovidedsuchtubingcomplieswithallotherrequirementsofthisspecification.1.3ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorinch-poundunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Withinthetext,theSIunitsareshowninbrackets.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemmaynotbeexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnon-conformancewiththestandard.Note18212;Productsmanufacturedtothisspecificationmaynotbesuitableforthoseapplicationswherelowtemperaturenotchtoughnesspropertiesmaybeimportant,suchasdynamicallyloadedelementsinweldedstructures,etc.Note28212;FormethodsofestimatingtheatmosphericcorrosionresistanceoflowalloysteelsseeGuideG101oractualdata.
